PADU and data.gov.my have different roles. Knowing the difference keeps the story accurate.

What PADU does

The Ministry of Economy describes PADU as an integrated database combining administrative data and updates from the public to support policy and programme planning.

What Data-Lah uses

Data-Lah uses public datasets from data.gov.my and OpenDOSM for its statistics. This guide uses the Ministry’s published description of PADU. We have not connected a PADU household-data feed.

How data sharing works

The Ministry publishes an application, approval and agreement process for PADU data sharing. Its MyInfo portal is presented as an application platform for government agencies. A public explainer is not the same as authorised access to the underlying records.
